happy friday!
there are a few items i’ve been using / loving that i want to share with the newsletter community!
also, the internet is so full of amazing kitchen ideas, food pairings, recipes, hacks, etc. as well as just inspiration in general. and i have found so much inspiration lately. so, i figured i would share it with y’all! hope you find some inspiration or joy below…
and just remember — the internet is a tool for you to use however you’d like. sure, it’s easy to use it to read negative stories, make snarky comments about politics, and just end up in nasty places in general. but you get to choose how you use it. try using it to learn more about baking or knitting or find out what time sunrise and sunset is this weekend so you don’t miss it. use it to keep in touch with friends and share things that make you happy. find inspiration via blogs and use canva to make vision boards. it’s up to you.
how to easily pit a peach. MIND = BLOWN.
iced tea: i have been making pitchers of iced tea like crazy lately. maybe it’s a pregnancy thing? idk. my faves so far have been this sun tea & this blood orange iced tea. i add a few mint tea bags to the blood orange tea mix and it’s perfect. i add a little simple syrup to the hot tea, then pour it over ice. so yummy!
a butter keeper. we picked one up at an antique market recently since i’d been on the hunt for one! it was sadly cracked so we had to toss it, but i looooove butter keepers. on the lookout for another one.
a perfect meal, in my opinion.
we thrifted this (in the color plum) for $3.50 and i could not be more stoked.
our mini food processor. we pull this thing out at least once a week for quick chopping, mixing dressings, making taziki sauce, chimichurri, etc. the best — and easy to clean!
flamingo estate makes the most beautiful things. i have been pining for this candle and wanting to try this olive oil on fresh summer heirloom tomatoes from the garden.
cherries. one of my all time favorite fruits, and they are so sweet and good right now. i especially love rainier cherries, which i can sometimes find at trader joes.
flowers! our zinnias and cosmos are blooming, making me the happiest person alive. also, it’s peony season at trader joes. run, don’t walk.
quilts, quilts, and more quilts! kantha quilts are always and forever my favorite (we just got a few in the mail and they make me so happy), but more traditional quilts in modern tones / patterns have been making me really happy too! maybe this is part of nesting, haha. (this one is what dreams are made of.)
this adorable father-daughter baking team. i cannot handle how cute they are!
pinterest. specifically this board and this board.
garden & food shows. wil and i flew through growing floret & have been loving from the source. (both on the magnolia network.)
